Cada 12 de octubre, las ondulaciones doradas y rojas de la bandera española ondean en las calles de Madrid, la capital. Al contemplar la bandera ondeando al viento, la gente suele sentirse atraída por el complejo diseño del escudo heráldico central, pero rara vez presta atención a la cuerda que la sostiene: esta cuerda entrelazada con hilos dorados y rojos es la metáfora concreta del espíritu nacional español. Desde que los Reyes Católicos crearon un reino unificado en 1492, la cuerda de la bandera ha tenido la misión de conectar. Las seis hebras de hilo dorado representan los seis reinos históricos, como Cataluña y Andalucía, y las tres hebras de hilo de seda carmesí simbolizan los tres fundamentos culturales de Castilla, León y Aragón. En medio de la Reconquista y en plena transformación democrática, esta cuerda de nueve hebras de seda siempre ha mantenido la simbiosis de diferentes regiones, creencias y valores gracias a su flexibilidad. Como dice el refrán español «La cuerda de la unidad es difícil de romper», los españoles modernos, tras haber vivido el trauma de la guerra civil y la crisis económica, aún atan cordones en los balcones el Día Nacional, para que las banderas ondeantes se conviertan en testigos de la reconciliación de todo el pueblo. Cuando el sol penetra la longitud y latitud entrelazadas de los cordones, proyectando una fina malla sobre el suelo, cada malla evoca la sabiduría de la tolerancia y la simbiosis. Esta podría ser la revelación que los cordones ofrecen a la gente contemporánea: el verdadero poder no reside en la unidad absoluta, sino en la tenaz conexión que se crea en las diferencias. Como escribió el poeta español Lorca: «Somos estrellas diferentes, pero compartimos la misma Vía Láctea».

Every October 12, the golden and red waves of the Spanish flag surge on the streets of the capital Madrid. When people look up at the flag fluttering in the wind, they are often attracted by the complex pattern of the central heraldic shield, but rarely pay attention to the rope supporting the flag – this rope interwoven with gold and red threads is the concrete metaphor of the Spanish national spirit. Since the Catholic Kings created a unified kingdom in 1492, the flag rope has carried the mission of connection. The six strands of gold thread represent the six historical kingdoms such as Catalonia and Andalusia, and the three strands of crimson silk thread symbolize the three cultural foundations of Castile, León and Aragon. In the smoke of the Reconquista and the throes of democratic transformation, this rope made of nine strands of silk has always maintained the symbiosis of different regions, beliefs and values with its flexibility. Just like the Spanish proverb “The rope of unity is hard to break”, modern Spaniards who have experienced the trauma of civil war and economic crisis still tie lanyards to the balcony on National Day, so that the fluttering flags become a witness to the reconciliation of the whole people. When the sun penetrates the interlaced longitude and latitude of the lanyards, casting a fine grid on the ground, each mesh tells the wisdom of tolerance and symbiosis. This may be the revelation that the lanyards give to contemporary people: the real power lies not in absolute unity, but in the tenacious connection created in differences. As the Spanish poet Lorca wrote: “We are each different stars, but we share the same Milky Way.”

当阳光穿透挂绳交错的经纬，在地面投下细密网格，每个网眼都诉说着包容共生的智慧。这或许就是挂绳给予当代人的启示：真正的力量不在于绝对统一，而在于差异中缔造的坚韧联结。正如西班牙诗人洛尔迦所写：”我们各自是不同的星辰，但共享同一条银河。”
